4minute’s HyunA and B2ST’s Hyunseung share a steamy kiss at ’2011 MAMA’!

On November 29th, 4minute‘s HyunA and B2ST‘s Hyunseung shocked their fans with a racy stage at the ‘2011 MAMA‘ in Singapore — a stage that included a long, steamy kiss.

HyunA and Hyunseung brought out a risque performance to introduce their new project duo, ‘Trouble Maker‘. Dressed up in evening gowns and suits, the two danced provocatively against a moon-lit background.

Fans went wild over their very intimate choreography, which had Hyunseung touching HyunA’s legs, HyunA jumping onto Hyunseung and wrapping her legs around his waist, and finishing off with a passionate embrace.

Pledis Boys reveals more pictures ahead of their debut

As the clock ticks down towards the unveiling of Pledis Boys, the rookie group has finally revealed their faces ahead of their official debut next year.

The pictures were released as a way to express their thanks towards their first fan cafe, which had just opened online. “They’re pictures taken at their music video shooting,” said Pledis Entertainment. “The boys released the pictures as a way to show their gratitude towards their first fan cafe prior to their debut.”

The never-before-seen pictures showcase the various members of the upcoming boy group as they take a break between the rigorous shooting of their music video.

The ‘Pledis Boys’ will participate in this year’s holiday album, “Happy Pledis“, before a full-fledged debut early next year.

J-POP star Koda Kumi has a close relationship with 2NE1 & TVXQ

Top J-POP star Koda Kumi displayed her close relationship with 2NE1 member Minzy.

At a 2011 MAMA press conference that took place at the Singapore Sands Expo and Convention Center on the 29th, Koda Kumi remarked, I worked with TVXQ in the past and continue to maintain a close relationship. I have also spent a lot of time with 2NE1′s Minzy, and I plan on going to their next performance in Japan“.

Today at the MAMA, I will put on a performance that fits in with Korean culture, she continued.

170 reporters from Japan as well as Hong Kong, Malaysia and Cambodia were at this particular press conference, as well as Reuters and the Korean press to gather as much news as possible.

FT Island’s ‘MEMORY IN FTISLAND 2011 IN SEOUL’ a hit success

FT Island recently held a sold-out ‘MEMORY IN FTISLAND 2011 IN SEOUL‘ concert at Blue Square in Seoul on November 26th and 27th, proving that they’re one of Hallyu’s top music bands.

The boys who have received much love and support for their recently released, re-made album ‘MEMORY IN FTISLAND‘, kicked off the concert with a live performance of their hit song, “I Hope“, followed by “Hello Hello“, “I’ll Have You“, “Love Love Love” and more, to which their fans responded with explosive cheers and applause.

The members pleased both their Japanese and Korean fans by combining the Korean and Japanese versions of “Revolution“, “I Want“, “Let It Go“, and “Flower Rock“, as well as performing “That Person at Shinsadong“, and “Will Love All“, the songs with which FT Island came out on top on KBS Immortal Song 2.

The concert garnered international attention as fans not only from Korea and Japan, but from China, Thailand, other regions of Asia as well as from North America were in attendance.

SM Entertainment and Channel A to produce new idol drama, “K-Pop Survival”

It was recently reported that SM Entertainment will be working with Channel A (of the upcoming “Joint Organization Channel”) to produce a brand new idol drama called ‘K-Pop Survival‘.

‘K-Pop Survival’ will unravel a story about the progress of a normal student who, in the hopes of becoming an idol star, auditions for and ultimately wins a tough survival singing contest. They eventually go on to make their official debut both nationally and internationally as a new K-Pop star.

During an official press conference, representatives of Channel A stated, We are no longer in a generation where a drama is judged purely by its ratings. We need to start making dramas that will succeed even when it gets exported overseas.

They continued, We’re currently in talks with SM Entertainment to produce ‘K-Pop Survival’.

‘M-ST’ (B2ST and MBLAQ) snap a photo together in Vegas

Fans are going wild over B2ST and MBLAQ‘s group photo from Las Vegas.

On November 27th, B2ST’s Doojoon tweeted, “M-ST got together and took a photo!” The two idol groups showed off their close friendship in the photo, and even introduced a nickname for themselves, ‘M-ST’ (MBLAQ + B2ST).

Both B2ST and MBLAQ were considered to be rivals since they debuted at the same time. But this photo only goes to show that the rivalry is more public speculation than anything, and that the two groups are good friends.

Netizens wrote, “It’s nice to see easygoing people together”, “Haha. I like M-ST. When is the first album coming out?”, “All of you oppas are getting more handsome as time goes by.”

2NE1′s Park Bom assures fans she will be singing live at ’2011 MAMA’

Earlier, we reported on YG Entertainment’s concerns about 2NE1‘s Park Bom, whose throat condition was less than optimal due to a severe flu. As such, officials had stated that Bom may not be able to sing live at the ‘2011 MAMA’ in Singapore.

However, on the morning of November 28th, Bom herself made an announcement through Twitter, telling fans that her health has improved and that she will be singing at the awards ceremony. She tweeted, “Bom’s voice might still be a bit husky, but she will be singing live!~~~~~*^____^*”.

She continued, Don’t worry! I’m taking my meds and eating and resting well for tomorrow! Fighting!! Fighting yayaya!!!!!”

Bang & Zelo reveals a picture of new member Zelo

A few days ago, we revealed that power rookie Bang Yong Guk will be debuting in a unit group comprised of himself and fellow labelmate Zelo in a group simply titled, Bang & Zelo.

15-year-old Zelo’s looks have been hidden behind a curtain thus far, but his face has been finally revealed. In the released picture, his large eyes and cute expression come into focus while displaying a fashionably chic ensemble.

Bang & Zelo will make their debut on December 2nd with their first title track, “Never Give Up“.

T-ara’s Jiyeon cast for ‘Dream High 2′!

The star-studded cast for the upcoming KBS production ‘Dream High 2‘ has been generating widespread excitement as of late, and the latest idol to step into the highly-anticipated drama will be none other than T-ara‘s Jiyeon!

With several acting gigs already under her belt, Jiyeon will bring her acting talents over to her new role, which has yet to be specified. The casting was decided at a meeting with the producers last weekend.

“Although I’m already busy with domestic and foreign promotions, after reading the synopsis for ‘Dream High 2′ I decided to take it because it was a role that I wanted to play. I wanted to relive memories of my trainee days and as a hardworking student before it was too late,” she said. “I’ll be putting a lot of effort into it, so please be expecting it.”

Tablo reveals that he became more quiet after his hiatus

Rapper Tablo has opened up about the change in his mentality during his time away from the industry.

On November 25th, Tablo made his first radio appearance since his comeback through MBC FM4U‘s ‘Bae Chul Soo’s Music Camp‘, and updated listeners about his life.

During his forced hiatus, Tablo revealed that he couldn’t leave the house. “At first, I had many thoughts that I shouldn’t have. Bad thoughts, thoughts that did not help anyone,” he said.

He continued, “However, by listening to my album, you can hear that the tone of the songs change. They are a little more on the positive side. While reflecting, I realized that I had so many people and things around me to be thankful for; this made me start thinking more positively.”

1TYM to perform at YG Family concert?

Earlier in the month, it was confirmed that Jinusean, one of YG Entertainment‘s first artists, will be participating in the upcoming ’15th Anniversary YG Family Concert’. Now, there’s a rumor that old school YG Entertainment group 1TYM might also be performing at the concert.

Nominees announced for the ’26th Golden Disk Awards’

The Golden Disk Awards (better known as the Korean equivalent of the Grammys) will soon be entering its 26th year, and organizers have just announced its list of nominees.

Separated into ‘Digital’ and ‘Album’ awards, the Golden Disk is known for selecting winners based on sales figures over the year. For this year’s nominees, the committee considered albums released from January 1st, 2011 to November 30th, 2011.

The 26th Golden Disk Awards will be held in Osaka, Japan on January 11th and 12, 2012 at the Kyocera Dome.

2NE1′s Dara and CL return to Korea for ‘YG Family Concert’ rehearsal

On November 26th, 2NE1‘s CL and Sandara Park shared a fresh selca through the latter’s me2day to commemorate their return to Korea.

Sandara wrote, Arrived in Korea!  Came here to practice for the YG Family Concert!  All the artists are coming to meet today!  The sunbaenims are coming in one by one! doogeun doogeun, kong dak kong dak! [onomatopoeia for heartbeat].  Today’s fashion is about utilizing a face mask.  Sandara and CL’s 2-set selca!  How is it?

The photo also contained a caption that read, The [main] point of this photo! Chae Rin‘s [CL’s real name] cute eyes that can only be seen in the dorms.”

Fans were delighted to see the return of the infamous face masks from 2NE1′s “Ugly” MV, especially since they allowed CL to keep her edgy style even though she dressed down and didn’t wear any makeup.

2NE1 become the first Korean artists to be on the cover of ‘WWD Japan’

The ladies of 2NE1 have become the first Korean artists to grace the cover of popular Japanese fashion magazine, ‘WWD Japan‘!

2NE1 were chosen as cover models for the magazine’s winter issue, which allowed them to  join the ranks of many other famous women in Japan who previously graced the cover such as professional skater Asada Mao and actress Miyazawa Rie.

For their pictorial, 2NE1 wore French brand Balmain, which gave them an elegant gloss to their fierce charisma. Reportedly, the members’ outfits had cost around 25 million yen (approximately 322,872 USD).

In related news, 2NE1 will join fellow YG Entertainment artists and perform at the ‘YG Family Concert in Japan‘ on January 7th and 8th at the Kyocera Dome, and on January 21st and 22nd at the Saitama Super Arena.

HyunA & Hyunseung’s ‘Trouble Maker’ unit releases teaser photo

Cube Entertainment has kicked off its countdown for Trouble Maker‘s debut by releasing an image teaser today.

Trouble Maker is a special performance unit comprised of 4minute‘s HyunA and B2ST‘s Jang Hyunseung (a.k.a. JS). When it was revealed that these two idols would make up the unit, many in the music industry took notice and mused, “This is a unit that nobody could have imagined.”

In their teaser photo, HyunA and JS took sequenced shots arranged in such a way that it resembled an intricate dance. JS gave his trademark ‘cool-guy’ glare, which HyunA matched with a strong expression of her own. There’s no set concept yet, except to showcase bold confidence.

Trouble Maker will release their debut EP on December 1st, but stay tuned for more teasers from the duo.

JYJ’s Jaejoong voted as #1 star to go on a snow date with

JYJ‘s Jaejoong was named as the #1 male star girls wanted to go on a date with during the first snow fall.

Music website ‘Monkey 3‘ kicked off the poll on November 17th, and drew 6,100 votes. It was close battle between Jaejoong and Lee Seung Gi, but the idol took first place with 64% (or 3,882 votes).

Fans who cast a ballot in his favor explained, I would want Jaejoong to hold my hands in his coat pocket” and “He’s a romantic-looking guy, perfect for a romantic date”.

Meanwhile, Lee Seung Gi — who’s been gaining a lot of popularity from shows likes ‘Strong Heart‘ and ‘1N2D‘ — took 33% (2,016 votes). Next on the list were Song Joong Ki, Jung Il Woo, Kim Soo Hyun, and Lee Min Ho.
