Upcoming group B.A.P., which stands for “Best, Absolute, Perfect”, will be having their blockbuster debut showcase early next year.
Agency TS Entertainment stated on December 20th that Bang Yong Guk will act as leader to a 6-member boy band. They revealed, “On January 28, 2012, there will be a large-scale showcase at the Jang-Choong Gymnasium, free of charge.” The same gymnasium has previously been used as a concert hall for Epik High, Jay Park, and Kim Hyun Joong.
Though groups are usually given small spaces for their debut showcase, B.A.P. is receiving a lot of attention for having their first showcase in such a large arena, especially when considering that news of the fees for the stage, instrument preparation, and the advertising as well as marketing for the event. A representative from TS Entertainment stated, “As its the first place that B.A.P. will be revealing themselves to the world, we’ve prepared a space for the best greeting.”
He went on, “Japan, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, etc., press and media, album crew, concert crew, and fans, around 3,000 in total are planned to be allowed to enter.”
Idol group Block B member P.O suddenly became ill on the set of MBC Everyone‘s ‘Death Camp 24 Hours‘, causing the shoot to unexpectedly come to a halt.
While shooting the episode of ‘Death Camp’ scheduled to air December 20th, P.O completed his first mission and on his way to the second, all color drained from his face and he seemed to be exhausted. He ceased the shoot, cancelled the rest of his scheduled events for the day and returned to his dorm.
His sudden sickness concerned the staff and cast members alike, as P.O possesses the strongest physical stamina of everyone on set. P.O is not one to irresponsibly stage a sickness to get out of a shoot, and the staff believe he consumed all his energy by running for a few hours straight.
P.O remembered to send text messages to his seniors and staff members, apologizing for inconveniencing them.
Photos of girl group Dal Shabet‘s maknae Subin and Big Bang‘s G-Dragon are causing quite the stir amongst netizens.
On December 19th, the photo above surfaced on an online community site with the caption, “What kind of relationship do Subin & G-Dragon have?”
In the photo, Subin is dressed in a violet off-the-shoulder dress and is displaying her mature feminine appeal. The two look to be close, as she has her hand casually resting on G-Dragon’s shoulder, sitting in front of a casino table. The photo was actually a screen capture from Taeyang‘s “I Need A Girl” MV, and Subin who was working as a model back then was featured in the video with a few other models.
Netizens who saw the photos left their comments such as, “She was only 17 back then; she looks really mature“, “There are a lot of girls surrounding him, but Subin definitely stands out“, “and I guess they don’t call her ‘giant baby’ for nothing“.
MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon will be making a cameo appearance on SBS‘s new drama, ‘Salaryman Cho Han Ji‘!
Lee Joon already filmed his scene on December 11th, playing the role of the idol boyfriend of Jung Ryeowon‘s character, ‘Yeochi’. Though the scene was of a lover’s spat, Lee Joon and Jung Ryeowon were able to quickly close the gap of their first meeting and comfortably deliver their roles. Lee Joon even took sel-cas with Ryeowon like a real boyfriend when she was off practicing her script.
Staff recount that when Lee Joon was asked to sound arrogant and greasy by the director, the idol immediately launched into a parody of actor Choi Min Soo‘s voice, calling out, “Yeochi-ya~~~~”.
The scene also required that Jung Ryeowon spray water on his face. Clearly showing hesitation in the act, the director asked her to go all out with the scene, asking her to slap his face with the water if she had to. Lee Joon went with the flow and made no mistakes or NGs, even throwing down his personal luxury sunglasses when asked.
