Kang Sora stated, “I was a great fan of ‘Dream High’ so it’s an honor to be a part of the cast. I’m really looking forward to the first broadcast.”
2AM‘s Jinwoon also said, “Maybe it’s because I’m surrounded by my peers, but I really can’t stop smiling. I think it’s going to feel like coming in to work with a group of friends.”

The boys won four awards for being the ‘Top Searched Artist (Group)‘ in South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong; they were also recognized for being ‘Asia’s Top Searched Group Artist‘ overall.
The ‘Yahoo! Asia Buzz Awards’ honors top celebrities and trending entertainment content over the past year. Yahoo! Korea, Yahoo! Hong Kong and Yahoo! Taiwan pooled their efforts to create this award, and its results are based on the most-searched categories as well as netizen votes.

On December 19th, the boys of Block B returned to Japan for the second time for their Christmas Live showcase.
Before the event, they held a press conference to greet reporters and fans and talk a bit about what they had prepared. Aside from Zico and Kyung revealing two new songs at the event, their concert was also filed with plenty of solo performances by the other members.
When asked how they prepared for the concert, Kyung replied, “We practiced and stayed up for about four days. The stress buildup was incredible and we lost a lot of weight because we forgot about our diet and exercise.” U-Kwon added, “I prepared a guitar solo, but it’s been so long since I’ve played it.”
Asked to name a goal in 2012, Taeil chose recognition while Jaehyo chose to win an award. U-Kwon hoped to be able to afford a brand name purse for his mother while Kyung talked about a song that he had produced for Block B’s February comeback next year. The rest chose to become influential singers and dancers.
Last month, F.CUZ announced that they would be adding a new member to replace the departure of Lee. U. On December 20th, a teaser video featuring singing by their new member was posted online, formally introducing him to F.CUZ fans.
Officials also wrote a message on the fancafe, stating, “Hello, this is Can Entertainment. We’re glad to be able to greet you with good news today. F.CUZ has remained silent since the departure of a member, but we are now ready to start a new beginning. Kan, Jinon, and Yejun have worked hard to fill the empty void while promoting as a trio in Japan, but now they are preparing for a 2012 Korean comeback with a new member to complete the puzzle of their group.”
They continued, “We know that you must be curious about the new member so we released a video of him covering a song by our labelmate senior Jang Hye Jin. He has a thin but powerful voice, which we’re sure you’ll be able to hear for yourself. He sang it with a nervous heart, as it is his first time greeting our fans. Finally, we hope that you provide much support to F.CUZ’s comeback in 2012. Thank you.”

Yang Hyun Suk spoke up recently to assure fans that although he and J.Y. Park may not see eye-to-eye all the time when judging contestants, they’re still as close as ever.
The two producers, along with singer BoA of SM Entertainment, became judges for SBS‘s new survival audition contest, ‘K-POP Star‘. The atmosphere was fairly comfortable until the most recent episode, when viewers saw Yang Hyun Suk and J.Y. Park butt heads over the star quality of some contestants.
It began with French contestant Julie, to whom J.Y. Park said, “I love singers who look comfortable on stage. However, I do not enjoy watching those who cannot sing be that comfortable.” Yang, however, disagreed. “I think differently. You have an amazing voice,” he said.
For contestant Kim Ha Eun, Yang stated, “I was more attracted to your pansori (Korean traditional music) act than your singing. You should stay on that road instead,” while J.Y. Park expressed, “You were so good. I feel like your pansori style is very similar to R&B/soul, and you nailed it.”
