CNBLUE‘s Kang Minhyuk may be a womanizer in the new weekend drama ‘You Who Rolled In Unexpectedly‘, but his fellow members say he couldn’t be more different in real life.
Rock band CNBLUE will be releasing a special limited edition of their 3rd mini album ‘EAR FUN‘.
CNBlue’s hot comeback to the Korean music scene is making waves worldwide. The four-man band had just released their third mini-album “Ear Fun” on March 26, with the launch of its title track “Hey You” on CNBlue’s official YouTube channel. A week before the official album launch, another track “Still in Love” was revealed via YouTube, and has hit one million views in three days.
CNBlue is only beginning full-fledged promotional activities, but has built up momentum from the attention of fans from the United States, Mexico, Chile, Australia, Brazil and other countries around the world. This achievement proves how CNBlue is shaping up to be an influential band.
Local news agencies report on the enthusiastic response from worldwide fans. Spanish-speaking fans commented, “CNBlue is better than Maroon 5!” “They will be a world-class performer,” “Completely sexy” and such.
Some drew comparisons to the legendary group The Beatles, calling CNBlue the “Beatles of Korea.” Among the glowing reviews are “CNBlue is definitely Korea’s Beatles in terms of talent and great music,” “They’re talented enough to be considered Korea’s Beatles,” and “CNBlue is like the Asian Beatles.”
CNBLUE complimented SHINee on their ability to pull off a song like “Sherlock”.
While rock band CNBLUE is back and running with their third EP Ear Fun, the band recently shared their newly found passion for music and the difficulties they faced while making their latest project come into fruition.
“We went back to our old motto of just having fun,” says leader Jung Yonghwa on their comeback stage, “I think that was one of the many reasons as to why we were able to comfortably stand on stage”
“We decided to stop our obsession with chart positions and such,” continued Yonghwa, “Right now, being out there and playing music is our focus.”
“To be honest, we each had our own personal struggles to deal with while we were making this album,” says drummer Kang Minhyuk, “But our music helped us forget all of that and got us where we are now”
CN Blue has finally released the music video for its newest title song, “Hey You” for the group’s third mini album “Ear Fun.”
The Burning, Lovely, Untouchable, and Emotional members can be seen behind the scenes, seamlessly weaving around everybody from the pizza delivery to the janitor, as they head to the main stage to truly show their skills.
“Ear Fun” will be officially released on March 27, and CN Blue will have its comeback performances on the weekend.

Some of the top Kpop stars have received nominations at the MTV VMAJ 2012 (Video Music Awards Japan 2012).
On March 19th, MTV Japan revealed the nominees for the MTV VMAJ 2012 (Video Music Awards Japan 2012). KARA, Girls’ Generation, 2PM, 2NE1, SHINee, and CNBLUE all received nominations in various categories.
In the “Best Group Video” category, 2PM received a nomination for “I’m Your Man“.
In the “Best New Artist Video” category, CNBLUE received a nomination for “In My Head” along with 2NE1 with “I AM THE BEST“.

The song will be released on various digital sites on March 16th, along with a special video on YouTube that shows the process of the members’ recording session. Fans are already highly anticipating their comeback album ever since the release of their teaser website back on the 8th.
As reported earlier, the website is currently running an event that allows fans to match up different spellings of a cube to guess the album’s new title track.
FNC Music stated, “CNBLUE has been busy with their international activities, but they’ve been preparing a lot for their comeback as well. There’s a different color in this album that is still CNBLUE’s own.”
With speculation rampant on the return of SHINee and CNBLUE while awaiting official word from SM Entertainment and FNC Music, it seems Soribada may have let the cat out of the bag.
On March 8, CNBLUE announced its comeback with a teaser on its official website! CNBLUE teased its fans with a more interactive approach in announcing its new album title. On it’s website, visitors were asked, “Guess what is CNBLUE’s new album title;” beneath it, a six-sided spinning cube with a letter on each side is placed. Fans have to personally figure out the album title by rearranging the letters on the cube to come up with the correct title. Once they do, they can submit their answers to FNC. The first 5 participants with the correct title name will have the opportunity to take photos with the boys of CNBLUE and receive their autographs.
With CN Blue and F.T. Island’s Los Angeles concert two weeks away, they have both released promotional videos for the event. Their joint concert “Stand Up” will be at the Nokia Theater in LA on March 9 at 8PM. This event was created by CJ E&M‘s K-Pop concert brand, “M-Live,”
Jisook has revealed the identity of her ex- boyfriend.
Jisook, a member of Rainbow has revealed who her ex-boyfriend was when she was filmming ‘Strong Heart‘ for SBS TV.
She said, ‘when I was a trainee,I met my ex- boyfriend who is now a famous member of an idol group. When we were trainees, this boyfriend gave me a lot of help and even for now, we are still good friends.’
The MC Lee Seung Gi asked ,‘ is he from a 5-member group? ‘ She answered ambiguously, ‘ 5- member groups or groups have less than 5 people but the 5-member groups are included.’
C.N. Blue and F.T. Island will hold a joint concert in Los Angeles!
Through CJ E&M‘s K-Pop concert brand, “M-Live,” C.N. Blue and F.T. Island will hold their joint concert at the Nokia Theater on March 9 at 8pm.
This is the first time that C.N. Blue and F.T. Island will hold a joint concert together, therefore, the expectations are very high.
Korean rock band CNBLUE‘s 2nd major single “Where you are” sold 60,000 copies in its first week and topped the Oricon Singles Chart for the week of February 13th.
CNBLUE made their indie debut back in 2009 and released their major label debut single titled, “In My Head” last October.
A foreign band has not topped the singles chart for 41 years. It last occurred back in January 18, 1971, when Canadian rock band Mashmakhan released their single “As the Years Go By” under the name “Two in the fog“. CNBLUE is the fourth Korean male artist to have topped the Oricon Singles Chart following TVXQ, JEJUNG (Jaejoong) & YUCHUN (Yoochun) (from TVXQ), and Jang Geun Suk.
The full weekly charts for the week of February 13th has not yet been released.
Korean rock band CNBLUE recently made an appearance on MTV Japan‘s Unplugged, taking the title as the first ever Korean artist to appear on the show.
MTV Unplugged is a music program that features intimate, acoustic sets from world-class artists like Eric Clapton, Oasis and Mariah Carey. Japan’s own version of the program began its broadcast last July.
The boys played a 12-song set that included some of their Japanese hits like “Let’s Go Crazy”, “Try Again, Smile Again” and “Kimio”. In addition, the band also debuted the acoustic rendition for their Japanese major-label debut single, “In My Head”, as well as their newest number, “Where You Are”.
Aside from the boys’ flawless performance, CNBLUE made headlines with the number of ticket requests made for the show. Reportedly, they drew a whopping 15,000 applications from fans wishing to attend the show (MTV Unplugged Japan only accepts 150 attendees).
It was revealed that CNBLUE‘s Minhyuk is currently in talks to join the cast of the new KBS weekend drama, ‘You Who Rolled in Unexpectedly‘.
With news of FT Island and CN Blue’s “Stand Up by M Live” joint concert in Los Angeles, their first in the United States, both groups’ fans have anticipated and prepared to buy prime seats when tickets went on sale through Ticketmaster on January 28.

It’s just been confirmed that F.T. Island and CNBLUE will be holding a joint concert in Los Angeles!
FNC Music, the label that’s home to FT Island and CN Blue, is building a $9 million USD office building in the Chungdam-dong region in Seoul.
The construction began not too long ago, and their building is being built in the main area of Chungdam-dong.
The building will boast around 6,421 square feet, and the official value of the land alone is worth $7.1 million. The building will also stand three stories high, four if you include the basement level.
Including the value of the actual building itself, the total price of the real estate is estimated to be in the $9 million range.
Pop rock band CNBLUE are celebrating their two-year anniversary!
On January 14th, leader Jung Yonghwa wrote a long message of thanks to their fans via CNBLUE’s Twitter.
“It’s already been two years,” he said. “I remember when we were recording and getting ready for our showcase two years ago. I can’t believe that time has passed so quickly, and I know that we still have a long way to go.”
He continued, “To the fans who have been with us for two years — Thank you so much for supporting us, and we hope that you will stick with us till the end. We will be back with a new album soon, so please support us and give us lots of love. To my bandmates Jong Hyun, Jung Shin, Min Hyuk – let’s continue to work hard!”
Winning the Golden Disk Award, C.N.BLUE gave a touching acceptance speech.
On the 11th of January, the 26th Golden Disk Award in Osaka was held, hosted by Leeteuk, Park Gyuri, Lee Hong Gi, and Suzi.
C.N.BLUE gave an impressive acceptance speech. “Last year was such a meaningful year to us. All of our parents, the Boice (CNBLUE’s fan club), who always care for us, I love you with all my heart. I feel sorry for the disaster that happened last year. I’ll pray that you won’t lose your hope.”
At the award, Park Jae Bum, B2ST, Super Junior, C.N.BLUE, f(X), MBLAQ, Infinite, Kara, Rainbow, A-Pink, B1A4, Dalshabet, and others appeared and competed for the Grand Prize, New Artist, Hallyu Star and others.
FNC Music stunned thousands of expectant fans by announcing the cancellation of CN BLUE‘s solo concert, “BLUE STORM in Indonesia“.
“The [BLUE STORM] in Indonesia concert, scheduled for November 26th, has been cancelled,” the company revealed through CN BLUE’s official website.
“This is a problem stemming from our lack of trust with the local Indonesian organizers of the event, thanks to shoddy event planning and failing to live up to their contract.”
“Although we tried to make several requests about the promotions and the concert, they never replied to our requests which aided our decision to cancel the event,” FNC Music said.
