It looks like INFINITE has returned and is ready to go for their latest comeback, as the group has just released the tracklist for their third mini-album, ‘INFINITIZE‘!
After unveiling their new track, “Only Tears“, the boys of INFINITE have now shared a group teaser photo on their official homepage.
INFINITE is back with a fresh new ballad track!
On May 5th (KST), INFINITE‘s official website unveiled possible plans for the release of the single “Only Tears” ahead of their third mini album ‘INFINITIZE‘.
After revealing the release date of their comeback, INFINITE has now released the name of their new album.
INFINITE is off to a great start with the release of their second Japanese single, ‘Be Mine‘!
On April 18th, the boys landed second on the Oricon daily singles chart on the day of its release and is still securely in second place as of the 19th. The boys were beat out by Mr. Children, a group that is considered Japan’s national group, so the feat is still a remarkable one for INFINITE.
Large LED screens featuring INFINITE’s pictures are also being displayed around the streets of Tokyo. Shibuya also has four LED screens in addition to promotional trucks running through the city, making it look as if Japan is quite literally covered in INFINITE.
Their success shouldn’t be too much of a surprise considering the boys swept the pre-order charts with all three versions of their single coming in at #1, #2, and #3 on Tower Records‘ daily sales chart, and Japan’s biggest music website, ‘music.jp‘, where the boys ranked all three of their songs on the weekly albums chart in the top three.
INFINITE has revealed that they will be revealing a new song for the very first time at their encore concert!
On April 1st, the boys will be holding the ‘Second Invasion – Evolution‘, where leader Sunggyu will be revealing a song off of their upcoming album through his solo stage.
INFINITE has been a hit with every activity they pursue lately, as not only did they sell out their first Korean concert, but also two concerts in Japan, as well as their encore concert.
As this encore concert in particular will be releasing a new song off of their May release, officials have put up high security measures to ensure that the song cannot get leaked prematurely. The members stated, “We’re practicing as if this is another of our first concerts, not an encore.”
As a special Valentine’s Day gift for their Inspirits, the boys of INFINITE have released a video of the members making their debut in Japan!
Earlier, we reported that INFINITE held their very first solo concert, ‘Second Invasion‘, at the Seoul Olympic Park stadium on February 11th. It’s just been revealed that SHINee‘s Key was there at the event to show some support for his close friend, Woohyun.
Earlier today, INFINITE held their first Korean concert “Second Invasion” at the Olympic Park SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul.
B2ST‘s Junhyung and INFINITE‘s L will be making a cameo appearance in SBS’s sitcom, ‘Salamander Guru’.
On the episode scheduled to be broadcast on February 10th, Junhyung and L will guest-star as members of a “flower boy” trio of thieves along with SHINee‘s Minho.
The trio worked together in the past to hack into a wealthy home’s security system in order to steal a valuable painting. Although ‘Minhyuk’ (Minho) is trying to leave those dark days behind him, ‘Joker’ (Junhyung) and ‘L’ (L) are still living out their lives as thieves.
The two seek out Minho to collaborate with them once more. While Junhyung pins Minho to the ground and demands his cooperation, L, a gangster, easily handles those who try to come to Minho’s defense. As a result, the “flower boy” trio will embark on another mission to steal another valuable painting along with the ugly salamander gurus.
INFINITE‘s Woohyun has shared a picture from his 21st birthday.
On February 7th, Woohyun uploaded the above picture onto his personal twitter and wrote, “I got caught“.
Much like how fellow member Dongwoo was surprised for his birthday, Woohyun seems to have gotten a sneak cake attack from his members in celebration.
Netizens responded to his picture saying, “Happy birthday I love you!” and “Uh oh you got caught hehehe happy birthday!”
INFINITE‘s visual member, L, has made a cameo appearance in a Korean animation. Tooniverse TV‘s, Come! Convenience Store. Come! Convenience Store is a cute Korean cartoon based off a webcomic.
L also lends his voice to the role. His character is described as a cute boy with a pretty smile and a gentle image. L stated,
“It was the first time that we took a part in dubbing so it was awkward. Although I worried a lot it was neat and fun to actually act out as my own character”.
L’s character, like the real L, is a famous idol with many fans! But this L harbors a strong grudge from a painful childhood memory relating to a 24 hour convenience store. How do things turn out when a determined L sets off to extract his revenge on a convenience store?
Back in December, we reported that INFINITE‘s L would be starring in a new tvN mini-series called ‘Shut up Flower Boy Band‘. tvN has already released a first trailer, and now they’ve followed up with a longer video.
The trailer begins with the thought, “John Lennon once said, ‘The Beatles are more famous than Jesus.’ We’re neither special nor famous — we just do want we want to do.”
The video then kicks into high gear with scenes of loud rock performances at indie houses, hoodlum shenanigans, and other vignettes into a young boy’s carefree lifestyle.
Check out the trailer below!
‘Trend idols’ INFINITE, who are currently busily preparing for their first solo concert, participated in a new photoshoot with fashion magazine ‘High Cut‘!
The boys were dressed in eight different themes, which included pieces that ranged from preppy suits to fur pieces. Known for their teamwork both on and off stage, INFINITE worked seamlessly together to bring their best traits out for the camera, while falling easily into natural poses with one another.
Photographer Joo Yong Kyun expressed, “I thought INFINITE were just idol singers, but this opportunity made me look at them in a different light. They’re not just idols, as they have infinite passion and potential as models as well.”
In the trio cut centered around white pieces, Woohyun‘s dressed in a Solid Homme knit top with gray Emporio Armani pants, while Sungyeol‘s wearing a VanHart Homme ivory coat. Sungjong‘s shirt is by Neil Barrett.
INFINITE‘s L has been cast in tvN‘s new flower boy-themed drama, ‘Shut Up Flower Boy Band‘, and character cuts of his new image were released today!
L’s always been known for his chic look, so pulling off his character (who has the nickname ‘ice prince’) was no problem at all. Dressed in black and white, he’s seen posing confidently with a guitar, giving the aura of a successful band leader.
Netizens commented, “L, he is the leader of band fashion,” and “Can’t wait to see him act!”
L stated, “Every moment I’m on set with the hyungs is really fun. I’ve been practicing the guitar diligently since being cast for the role so I hope that our fans can look forward to the drama.”
Despite it being their first solo concert, INFINITE‘s ‘Second Invasion’ is off to a fantastic start.
INFINITE recently sold out all 8,000 tickets to their first solo concert, ‘Second Invasion‘, within 5 minutes of tickets going on sale.
To thank fans for their support, the boys released individual posters to put up on the streets in promotion of the concert. Hilariously enough, fans ended up taking them all home, turning the promotional posters into ‘personal posters’.
Production company CJ E&M representatives expressed, “We’ll be releasing posters of two more members this weekend following Dongwoo and Woohyun. We’re sure that they’ll disappear just as quickly as well, as they’ve been garnering quite the response.”
Representatives of Woollim added, “The posters were produced to promote the concert and thank fans for their support in selling out the tickets. We’re both proud and grateful that they’re receiving a great response.”
Photos titled “Male Idol’s Overall Appearance” have surfaced various online communities, and they have created quite a buzz among Korean netizens. An enthusiastic fan cleverly overlapped the images of the members in each boy band to create one representative photo for each group. A total of ten photos – representing Super Junior, JYJ, Big Bang, 2PM, SHINee, BEAST, MBLAQ, Infinite, UKISS, and FT Island – have been humoring netizens and fans alike.
While no one specific member comes to mind in most photos, Seungri’s face jumps out in Big Bang’s representation, while Wooyoung and Lee Hong Ki’s features are dominant in 2PM and FT Island’s photos respectively.
Those who’ve seen the photos commented, “JYJ is really handsome,” “This is why they are idols…Even their appearances blended-in look amazing,” “It must have been labor-intensive photoshopping all thirteen faces for the Super Junior photo.”

MBC Every1‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘ recently surveyed idol stars to pick the ‘best idol of 2011′.

MBLAQ‘s maknae Mir revealed to his fans that he hangs out with INFINITE‘s Woohyun through a special photo.
On December 17th, Mir updated his Twitter with a selca and a caption that read, “This is the first time, I’m taking a photo with Woo Hyun…”
