Kim Hyun Joong recently held a press conference revealing that he has signed with Universal Music Japan, and announced the expected release date of his first Japanese solo album.
The star had his first showcase in Japan on November 7th, and has been receiving numerous “love calls” from big record labels since then. Out of all the offers he received, Kim Hyun Joong decided to go with Universal Music, the label that houses Korean artists like SNSD, KARA, B2ST, 4minute, and Supernova.

Big Bang will be releasing their first “Best of” album in Japan this November. Big Bang’s Japanese agency, Universal Music Japan, revealed through their website that the group will be releasing a Best of album next month.
Titled “THE BEST OF BIGBANG,” the album will contain all fourteen songs that Big Bang has released in Japan including “MY HEAVEN” and “Gara Gara GO!!” A second CD will consist of popular tracks sung released in Korea. The bonus DVD included in the special edition package will have all the music videos that the group has made for Japan.
The album will come in three editions, two of which are special editions. The first version will contain two CDs, a DVD, and a tshirt. The second version will have two CDs and a DVD, while the normal edition will come with only one CD.
A mysterious countdown has appeared on Big Bang’s Universal Music Japan page. As of now, there is no announcement as for what it stands for, or what it is counting down to. Only that the countdown link itself says “Love and Hope Tour 2011”, so it is believed that it has something to do with the DVD release. We will keep everyone posted on what happens as the countdown draws to a close and new details when they become available. Stay tuned for whatever surprise Big Bang has for us is revealed.
