On the March 23 broadcast of B1A4’s Sesame Seed Player in Mnet’s Wide Entertainment News, the members of B1A4 tried their hand at becoming literal ‘sweet guys’.
In addition to B2ST‘s Yoseob offering to buy dinner for a few fans, the official rules for the event have now been revealed. A special UCC (User Created Content) event named ‘Be My Partner‘ is being offered by A Cube Entertainment & Mnet.
The contest requires fans to sing a cover of Yoseob’s new collaboration song, “Love Day (Panda or B2UTY version)” with A Pink‘s Eunji, upload it (to a site such as YouTube) and then share the link on A Cube’s facebook event page.
Yoseob & Eunji will personally judge the videos and the top 2 winners will win a dinner date with Yoseob & Eunji.
The two idol singers recently released a video explaining the official rules for the ‘Be My Partner’ event.
TEEN TOP, who recently made headlines for their childhood photos, are gaining attention once again for their reenactment of Korea’s favorite drama ‘The Moon that Embraces the Sun.’
While filming for Mnet‘s ‘The Secret Island‘, TEEN TOP was given a mission to transform into comedic characters and act out a parody of ‘The Moon that Embraces the Sun.’ Snapshots of the boys carrying out their mission have found their way online and have become a hot topic.
In the first photo, Ricky, who is dressed as Lee Hwon, seems to be giving it his all into his acting, while L.Joe shyly portrays Yeon Woo with his head bowed and face covered.
The other boys were more comedic in their reenactments, as in the second photo Changjo is seen with a pink plastic toy hammer in his hand, which seems to be at odds with his demure court lady costume; Niel portrays his version of Lee Hwon with a pig mask.
Idol group TEEN TOP will be going on an overnight trip, and their experience will be filmed for all their fans to see.
The boys will be showing a more approachable and down-to-earth side to themselves through Mnet‘s ‘The Secret Island‘.
This will serve as a nice break for TEEN TOP, who have been busy promoting their hit song “Going Crazy” on major music programs and TV shows. The show also gives them a chance to create some good memories.
Through games and special missions, the boys will also reveal their honest feelings, their competitive natures, and their sense of unity within the group.
Se7en has been making his promotional rounds on various music programs since his successful return to the music scene with the Park Jin Young-produced single When I Can′t Sing, and no topic was off limits when he recently sat down with Mnet’s Wide Entertainment News.
The singer appeared on the February 9 broadcast of the show ahead of his M Countdown comeback on the same day where he revealed which YG artist he thought was the most handsome and talked about his relationship with singer Rain.
When asked whom he considered to be the most handsome artist in his agency, Se7en responded, “I personally like the way I look. I personally like my face.”
However, in the end, he decided to give first place to T.O.P, citing the Big Bang rapper’s “charismatic gaze” as one of his reasons.
Boyfriend will be hosting their very first reality program through Mnet!
The show is called ‘Boyfriend’s W Military Academy‘, and the members will be expected to undergo various missions and training sessions in order to become new leaders of the Hallyu wave.
Mnet was inspired to create the show after Boyfriend became the most anticipated rookie group, according to international fans. ‘W Military Academy’ will detail their progress and development day-by-day, as well as tests evaluating their skills.
Producers stated, “We hope that this program helps the K-Pop wave. Please look forward to Boyfriend as they grow and develop from boys into men.”
For the first time in two years, After School will be performing on Mnet‘s ‘M! Countdown‘!
On December 22nd, the girls will be teaming up with members of Pledis Boys to participate in the show’s Christmas special with their winter single, “Love Letter“.
This is good news for fans, as Pledis Entertainment had announced a boycott on Mnet ever since the ‘2009 MAMA‘, citing unfair standards as their reason. Mnet responded to the claims by failing to invite Pledis artists to their music show and award ceremonies.
With Orange Caramel, however, the prospect of a reconciliation opened up. Orange Caramel performed “Shanghai Romance” on their shows twice during their promotion cycle while the two companies continued to work to resolve their differences.
This Sunday, December 18, at 8pm EST/ 5pm PST, Mnet US will be streaming a three hour long presentation of “Best of 2011 MAMA” on their Facebook page.
This show will feature exclusive behind the scenes footage and interviews. Mnet’s “Hello Pop!” VJ Chrissa Villanueva, who attended the event in Singapore, will host this program.
The 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards originally took place on November 29 in Singapore.
K-Pop stars that appeared at the awards were SNSD, Kim Hyun Joong, Super Junior, HyunA, miss A, 2NE1, BEAST, A Pink, Huh Gak, Seo In Young, Bae Ji Young, Dynamic Duo and YB. Also performing were US artists Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and the Black Eyed Peas’ Wil.i.am and apl.de.ap.

On December 8th, the ladies of SNSD were the guest on Mnet‘s “Beatles Code” and was asked if any member was ever jealous of another member.
To that question SNSD’s Taeyeon answered, “I was also a guest on MBC’s ‘We Got Married’ but the man I was married to was a totally different person. It’s hard to be on a variety show with friends that have similar ages so I was quite jealous of Seohyun”.
Seohyun and CN BLUE‘s Jong Yong Hwa got together as a fictional couple and were one of the most popular couples on ‘We Got Married’. They were labeled the “Sweet Potato Couple”, however, back in 2009, Taeyeon was paired up with old comedian Jung Hyung Don and they were known as the “Pudding and Jelly Couple”.
It seems Taeyeon wanted to have a husband that was young and handsome like Jong Yong Hwa. If you were on the show who would you want to be paired up with?

Rock band Deli Spice was featured on the November 13th episode of Mnet‘s ‘Mic‘ to talk about their music and various subjects.
When member Yoon Junho was asked which female idols were currently his favorite, he responded with, “There are so many these days. They’re all so talented now. They have strong vocals and all of them can dance extremely well, too. The first female idol group to make me feel that way was 2NE1. Maybe that’s why… but I think they definitely stand out as the best female idol group out there“.
He continued, “I feel like they were grouped not only for their looks, but for their individuality and they work well together as a unit.”
Deli Spice is one of the few that represent Korean rock bands. They debuted in 1997 with their first album ‘Deli Spice‘. Their hit songs included “Chow Chow“, and “Confession“.

On an episode of Mnet‘s ‘Wide Entertainment News‘ that aired on the 27th, the topic of who could be the next greatest MC to fill the shoes of legendary Kang Ho Dong was discussed.
The celebrity at the top of the ‘high energy’ list? None other than Big Bang‘s maknae, Seungri. He was chosen for his intense vivacity, others on the list were Leessang‘s Gary, Seo In Young & comedian Park Myung Soo.
Seungri’s speaking abilities rivals Kang Ho Dong and he’s remarkably popular and even has his own sights on running a business. When he was a guest star on ‘Strong Heart‘, he made everyone on set explode in laughter as he spoke, and he and the rest of Big Bang are becoming increasingly popular not only in Korea but overseas as well, enough to be called the faces of this Hallyu wave. Seungri has plans to open an academy in Junrado, Gwangju, Daejun and even one in China.
This is an account of the recording for the pictures you saw here.
The second day of the recording (held on August 3rd) kicked off with the opening in front of a Hotel in Youngdeungpo, Seoul. It was great and everything until it started raining. The first day featured a girl group (Rania) so I was just kind of whatever, but I anticipated a lot more on the second day because producers said it would be a boy group.
Mnet’s Boom The K-POP analyzed just how popular B2ST is in Japan. Japanese fans seemed to love Korean beastly idols rather than cute Japanese idols.
A survey titled, “What animal resembles the members of B2ST?” was held in Shin-Okubo, the center of Korean Wave in Japan.
Fans compared wild Du Jun with a lion, cool and handsome Joon Hyung with a wolf, childish Gi Kwang with a puppy, and cute Yo Seop with a chick.
However, the members of the B2ST compared Yo Seop with a sparrow and Hyun Seung with a sloth.
